Golf Course Review

Review Course: Litchfield C.C. January 28th, 2010

Played here today under very sunny skies, temps were close to 65 and wind was a half club at best.  I played the blues as I was a guest today of the Sun News golf reporter Al Blondin.  ( Yardage was just over 6600 for me )

The course itself was in very good condition, we were only CPO on 3 holes and real we could have driven on then easily.  Tees were in great shape, fairways were also very good and ball say up nicely, think I only moved it twice all day.  Greens ran out at a very good speed, greens are fairly flat though so we were giving it a bit to much break several times.  Bunkers were all groomed and they all had plenty of sand.

Even with most of the 4's and 5's having a dogleg the landing areas were wide enough to land a good drive on.  All 4 of the Par 3's here set up very nicely with bunkers of to each side of the green and not directly in front of your tee shot.

This old style course is worth its price and if you are thinking of maybe playing it I would say go for it.
